Community Initiatives
Local Area Involvement
We have a strong relationship with the Temagami community and with the Teme Augama Anishnabe (Temagami Bear Island First Nation).
We provide sponsorships for local children from the Temagami Public School and from the Bear Island Reserve.
We participate in many local functions and are members of the Temagami Chamber of Commerce and the Temagami Lakes Association.
Scholarships and Subsidies
no child shall be turned away
We annually sponsor children from the local area and the Temagami First Nation to attend two or four week sessions at camp.
We work with both the Amici Foundation and Kids in Camp Charity to provide camp stays for children who might otherwise not be able to attend due to financial limitations.Annual Staff Scholarship
Each year one recipient is awarded a scholarship towards university and college expenses for an exceptional staff member returning to school.
