Leadership One Course
For 16 Year Old Campers
Full Camper Status
Leadership One is a specialty program. Campers specializing in the Leadership One course will spend about half their day completing the course.
Those taking the Leadership One course still have full camper status. They will sleep in camper cabins with peers their age and participate in regular camp activities and evening programming as usual (including social).
Leadership One is a prerequisite for Leadership Two the following summer.
Offered as a Specialty Program
Campers enrolled in Leadership One will spend part of each day immersed in the course beginning their leadership journey.
They will spend the remainder of the day participating in activities of their choice.
Add-on to Regular Camp Stay
Receive 20 High School Volunteer Hours
Leadership One spans one two-week session at camp and we recommend it as an add-on to your regular camp stay.
However, if a camper is only able to attend camp for one session, they are still welcome and encouraged to complete the Leadership One course.
Develop Important Skills and Experiences
Campers will focus on skill development in the following areas:
- Goal Setting
- Communication Skills
- Teamwork
- Leadership Styles
- Planning & Organization
- And More!
Prerequisite for Leadership Two
By completing the Leadership One Course, you will be eligible to complete Leadership Two the following summer.
To complete the Leadership Two course, individuals will be required to have completed Leadership One the previous summer, with few exceptions.
