F.B. (Skip) Connett is a full-time camping professional who has been leading youth in camping and outdoor activities for over 40 years.  A former long-time Director and Board member of both the Canadian and Ontario Camping Associations, he is a holder of the Award of Honour from the Canadian Camping Association, is an Honourary Life Member of the Ontario Camping Association and is a Fellow of the Society of Camp Directors.  Skip is the founder and president of Canadian Adventure Camp.

Tom Zivic, Senior Lecturer in Sport and Recreation at York University, was one of the most successful coaches of the Canadian National Gymnastics Team for over 25 years.  He enjoys international renown as a Gymnastics Coach, Teacher and Judge.  In his role as our Sports Director, Prof. Zivic is involved in all aspects of camp sports activities. He was Gymnastics Director at C.A.C. for 22 years until his current appointment as our Sports Director.

Our General Camping Program is under the leadership of a very experienced dynamic young team, many of whom started their camp careers with us at a tender young camper age!  Team members all receive additional specialized training in individual program components, and bring a special dedication and understanding to make camp activities such great fun!

Each specialty program has a Head Coach who is directly responsible to the Sports Director for the day-to-day running of their department.  Head Coaches are chosen for their ability to organize a quality training program that not only allows campers to learn, grow and develop at a rate within their capability, but can also make it a happy, fun experience!

Our Gymnastics, Trampoline and Water Ski programs use specially selected international, national and top Ontario coaches.  Not only are they fully qualified in all aspects of their chosen sport, but they are specially selected for their enjoyment of teaching and coaching children in a residential camp setting.

Each counsellor lives in a cabin with their campers, even observing the same bedtime as the cabin group!  Counsellors are very carefully selected for their ability to work with children, most of them are university trained and all of them have a multitude of program qualifications along with lifesaving and first aid.  All counsellors participate in our own C.A.C. training programs throughout the spring.  The average age for our counselling staff is 21 years and our overall camper to staff ratio is very close to three to one.
